Priority Education Ltd is the tutoring partner of Revision Sorted. This hub explains what they offer, in their own terms, so you can decide whether to ask for a call.
Who are Priority Education?
Priority Education Ltd is a small, family-run tuition business offering GCSE and A-level science, maths and English, directed by Louise Finn and Steven Finn. Both have taught science in the classroom for over 15 years, in roles including Head of Science (Louise) and Deputy Headteacher (Steven), and the site says its tutors are qualified and experienced teachers.
The company is registered at Companies House (number 14128301), with its registered office in Wynyard, in the Teesside area; its own site says it is “now based in the North East”. The site says it teaches students “locally, Nationally and Internationally”, and describes its track record as “100s of students over the past 15 years”. Lessons cover KS3, GCSE, IGCSE and A-level.
How do the weekly lessons work?
Weekly lessons in science, maths and English are one hour long and run through the school year. Priority Education recommends that students in exam years (Years 10 to 13) attend twice a week where possible, so that twice as much content is covered with time left for exam questions.
Year 9 students have one lesson a week. The approach is “little and often”: each lesson works on core content, exam skills and exam technique. Maths students are placed in small groups of similar ability and similar target grades; how science and English groups are arranged, and whether lessons are online or in person, is confirmed on the call. Lesson times and fees are not published and are discussed on the call-back.
What are Revision Booster days?
Revision Boosters are four-hour revision days for GCSE science, maths and English, and for A-level biology, chemistry and maths. Each day runs 9:30 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 14:30 and covers key exam content and exam skills before mocks or final exams.
The published calendar follows the exam year: a Year 10 into Year 11 Boost in July, Back to School in August, Mock 1 Prep in October and November (listed for GCSE subjects only), Mock 2 Prep in January and February, and Pre-exam Warmups in May and June. The site asks parents to book in advance because the sessions before exams are especially popular. Shorter one-hour school-holiday sessions in science and maths focus on exam questions or a specific topic.
Who does Priority Education suit?
It suits students who want regular, teacher-led lessons over a longer period, which is where Priority Education says it sees the best grade progress. It also suits home-educated students, since the site says all of its tuition is suitable for them and that it can provide tuition on all exam board curricula; see the home education hub.
It is less of a fit for a parent who wants a single catch-up hour the week before an exam; a Booster day is the closest option for that. If you are weighing group lessons against one-to-one, read small-group tuition vs one-to-one and what tutoring costs per hour in the UK first.
How does the free call work?
You fill in the short form on our enquiry page and a Priority Education teacher calls you back; the call is free and there is no obligation. On the call they discuss your child’s needs and explain what is available, including lesson times, prices and whether lessons are online or in person.
Nothing is booked until you say so. It helps to have your child’s year group, subjects, exam board, current grade and target grade to hand.
